Short version: there are no accounts here, no ads, and no cookies from us; the only measurement on the site is a cookieless page-view counter run by our host, and your size profile never leaves your browser. This page is kept in sync with what the site does; when our practices change, this page changes first.
No accounts, no forms
You cannot create an account on Price & Thread, and nothing on the site asks for your name, email, or payment details. Email price alerts are planned; if and when they launch, we will update this policy before collecting a single address.
What stays in your browser (localStorage)
Personalization is done entirely on your device using your browser's localStorage — not cookies, and never sent to our servers. The complete list:

Size filtering happens in your browser after the page loads: your sizes are never put into URLs and never transmitted to us. To erase everything at once, clear this site's data in your browser settings (usually under “Site settings” → “Delete data”).
Cookies
Our application sets no cookies — first-party or third-party — and there are no tracking pixels, ad networks, or social-media embeds anywhere on the site. The one analytics tool we use (described in the next section) is cookieless: it stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare, our host, may set strictly-necessary security cookies of its own at the network layer (for example during a bot-mitigation challenge); those are controlled by Cloudflare and used to protect the site, not to profile you.
What reaches our servers
Like every website, when your browser requests a page we receive standard request data: the URL you asked for (including a search query if you used the search box), your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. The site runs on Cloudflare's edge network, which processes this data to serve pages and block abuse, and keeps short-lived infrastructure logs. We do not store your searches and we do not build visitor profiles.
One measurement tool runs on the site: Cloudflare Web Analytics, a counter our host injects into pages. It is cookieless, stores nothing in your browser, and does not fingerprint you. What it shows us is aggregate — page views, referrers, countries, load times — with no per-visitor history; we use it because it counts real browsers rather than bots. If we ever replace or remove it, this section changes with it.
Product images are served directly from each retailer's own image servers (for example, a store's Shopify CDN). Loading them is a normal web request from your browser to that server, which will see your IP address the same way it would if you visited the store directly.
Clicking out to a store
Outbound “Get it at …” links go through a redirect on our domain (/out/…). The identifier in that URL identifies the offer — which product at which store — not you. As of the date above, we do not write click records. The system is built to log, per click: the click identifier, the offer it belongs to, the destination URL, a timestamp, and an anonymous session token — and nothing that identifies you personally (we have no accounts, so there is no identity to attach). When click logging is switched on, we will update this section.
After the redirect you are on the retailer's site under the retailer's privacy policy. Where a link is an affiliate link, the affiliate network and the retailer may set their own cookies on their own domains to attribute the sale — that is how we may earn a commission, and it is disclosed in plain language on our affiliate disclosure page.
Where our data lives
Our database (Neon Postgres, hosted in the United States) holds catalog data: products, prices, price history, stock reads, and the evidence behind our verification labels. It is a database about merchandise, not about visitors — there are no visitor-profile tables, and the click log described above is empty as of the date on this page.
Selling data
We do not sell personal information. We hold essentially none to sell.
Your rights
Whatever your jurisdiction, the practical answer is the same: email us and we will tell you honestly what we have about you — which, for a site with no accounts, is almost certainly nothing. If you believe we hold something about you that we shouldn't, write to hello@priceandthread.com and we will look into it and respond.
Changes
If our practices change — click logging turns on, email alerts launch, anything — we will revise this page and its effective date in the same release. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page.
